I haven't bitten my nails in like three weeks, is that possible? THREE WEEKS? I've been biting my nails for like 4 years. Wow, that's a long time. I know isn't it? Now they just grow, all day, willy-nilly. It's getting to the point where it's getting in the way of my typing. q0ankalna anasya, ansia ksn.
So, I think my tape player in my car is broken. This wouldn't bother me so much, but I use a tape adapter for my iPod.
When I insert the tape adapter, i just get a crappy buzzing.
The fact that Zelda is out is comforting, but my reserved copy is all the way up in Danbury, and I'm all they way down here in NJ. If I can find a non-reserved copy, that would be sweet, but I wonder if I would lose my pre-order money.
Just trying a few things out, lemme know what you think.
Update: I was just notified that when you look at this site with IE on windows the posts are blown out to the side of the page, I'm working on it...
Thanks Log.
Update Update: Fixed it, again.. Thanks Log.
Just thought of a good band name:
Corduroy Toy
or a pluralization thereof would be nice.
Any other good names for bands?
I just wish I had the talent to be in a band.
I'm in New Jersey this week, and I hate it. There is no other state more deserving of my antipathy than New Jersey. This irksome plot of land that's half garabage dump, half highway, and all ugly.
The traffic is so bad that most auto insurance companies won't even sell policies here. To make the traffic worse, the drivers are all asses, I'm sure monkey chaufers would drive better than most people in this state. Or at least they'd use their blinkers.
The people who live here flock to the latest fad, be it music, cars, or fasion, and then proudly flaunt thier new trend. I'm also pretty sure New Jersey has the lowest wilderness to SUV ratio in the country.
So come to New Jersey if your idea of a good time is turning right to go left, big hair, crappy music, garbage everywhere, and all the strip malls you can handle.
oh, and here's a visual aid:

This was so weird.
I was on the train coming back from NYC, and this woman sat down next to me. She seemed normal, like she could have been someone who lived in CT, and all that. Eventually she struck up a conversation, she had a Russian accent. I learned she lived in NY and was going to Danbury to Elans (a gentleman's club). She works there, yep as a stripper. This threw me because she looked older, about 38-40. We talked about politics, and other things, and then she asked me for a ride from the train station to Elans, I told her I could. Thats about it, but man that was odd.
The enormity of the reverse ceiling, making the viewer feel as if he's looking through the heavens to earth below.
Walking to the lower level, the smell from the curry place overwhelms the other restaurants.
I walk to track 108, down the steps, confirming my transfer with a conductor. Peering in the grimy windows of the train, I spy pretend New Yorkers. This woman is eating soup, here is a business man picking his nose. Getting on the train, an open panel exposes wired innards, the use of which I have no idea.
Finding a seat is always easy, the facing ones near the doors, I get the most leg room that way.
There is an odd intimacy in the cramped seats, on the way home the man next to me falls asleep, and snores. His head randomly droops, and jerks him awake. I don't even know this guy, but I know what he sounds like when he snores, thats so odd.
I wouldn't want to do this every day, but today has been a good new york day for me.
I'm working in NYC this week. Midtown, so very yuppie (nomad!!!
I love the snow, and I love it even more when it's unexpected. Today was just such a day, and the 16 block walk was so much better for it. Why would you even take a cab when you could spend that time listening to music (thanks iPod), and study the faces of people going the other way? I love new york, I also hate it, but i think the bumper sticker feeling outweighs the hate.
Arguments are so stupid, and I'm sorry we had one last night man, I think we were just a little on edge, and all that, sorry.
