As most people have to do semi-regularly (I hope), I was taking a dump. This was at a client site in NJ at the time, so I was in a stall in a bathroom. Next to me I heard evidence of someone in the other stall, but I didn't see any feet on the floor. This didn't worry me, because I thought the sounds belonged to the feet two stalls down, when what did I see? A pair of feet decend from the rim of the toilet! SOMEONE WAS KNEELING ON THE SEAT TO GO!
Think of the mechanics of this: You're at work, in your work clothes, you're feet are perched on a small toilet bowl rim. You're wearing semi-nice clothes, what if you slip in? Also, how do you not piss all over the back of your pants? I was astounded at the wrecklessness of this individual.
Later, working it out in my head, it seems that kneeling would be the most natural way to go. As we are animals, we're probably not designed to sit on a toilet and let fly. Kneeling would offer better spread, and is probably less mess. I think I'm going to have to try this (in the comfort of my own home) and get back to you. You try too, and let me know, just don't slip in.

Something else:
I was in Kay-bee toys today, and there was a group of kids there going thru all the packs of Yu-gi-oh cards, measuring them with a micrometer. Naturally I asked them what they were doing and they said "Measuring the cards" (duh) "What for?" I asked. Apparently the packs with the rarest cards in them are .44 inches thicker than the packs without them.
